This months ‘Featured Artist’ is Dana Macleod of Performer Photography. Dana’s work inspired and dazzled us this month, we are thrilled to have her to join us for November. Dana has immense skill and talent and we are so happy to have her.
We asked Dana what inspires her to pick up her camera and start shooting:
"I would have to say without a doubt it is my children. From the moment my daughter was born I wanted to document every second of her story on earth. I started out with my phone and thought they were "pretty good." With that confidence I bought my first entry level DSLR, and I realized quickly how hard photography was. One day I would love learning, and the next I would be beyond frustrated. Love triumphed over the frustration and I kept picking up the camera and kept on learning. Now, almost three years later, I still find that I learn something new every time I pick up my camera, I am always glad I did. If I didn't there wouldn't be some of my favorite photos today. And through this journey, I was able to allow myself a creative outlet, document my children's lives and more specifically, my sweet little family. "
